Technical Accounting Specialist (SAP FS-RI) (100%; m/f/d)

As a Technical Accounting Specialist (SAP FS-RI), you play a key role in supporting technical settlement activities, compliant reporting, and high?quality claims and accounting processes, while ensuring seamless coordination with stakeholders and contributing to ongoing process and organizational development.

What to expect

Contributing to key work packages for quarterly and annual financial statements for the firm and the Group according to Swiss GAAP/OR and IFRS, including coordination of complex balance sheet items
Independently handling specialized accounting topics and contributing to (partial) project management within the SAP FS-RI and accounting landscape
Conducting the technical review and finalization of incoming and outgoing (retrocession) technical accounts, taking complex reinsurance contract structures into consideration
Facilitating the correct and timely processing of payables and receivables, including the clarification and escalation of discrepancies with internal and external partners
Supporting the monitoring and coordination of international payment flows in close collaboration with Treasury and external stakeholders
Performing quality?assured review, plausibility checks, and accounting of claims reports, including analysis of deviations, trends, and reporting patterns
Acting as a technical point of contact for international business partners and internal stakeholders (underwriting, risk management, actuarial, business process management etc.) in both German and English
Driving the enhancement and further development of internal processes, reporting structures, system functionalities and automation initiatives
We expect

Completed business or economics degree, ideally with a focus on accounting/insurance
Several years of professional experience in technical accounting in the reinsurance sector
Very good knowledge of accounting processes, balance sheet relationships, and technical accounting logic
Strong SAP experience, FS?RI knowledge required as a user and system support/administration
Confident use of MS Office (especially Excel) and very good IT affinity
Excellent written and spoken English and German
High level of initiative, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration
Ability to prepare complex issues in a manner appropriate for the target audience and provide technical support to junior team members
Strong analytical thinking skills, structured approach to work, and high problem-solving skills
