We are looking for an Application DevOps Engineer with a focus on job scheduling to join our Platform Team. In this role, you will support application development teams by orchestrating operational tasks, driving automation, providing standardized CI/CD pipelines, and configuring common operational platforms. Working with tools such as UC4, Airflow, GitLab, Ansible, and ArgoCD, you will build and maintain scalable release processes, improve job scheduling and deployment efficiency, and ensure consistent adherence to DevOps best practices across the application landscape.
What You Will Do
- Design and maintain batch and event‑driven workflows using UC4 and Airflow.
- Manage scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, and troubleshooting for critical jobs.
- Collaborate with application, data, and infrastructure teams to onboard and standardize workflows.
- Implement orchestration‑as‑code, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD), and automation with Ansible.
- Improve observability (dashboards, alerts, runbooks) and enhance deployment and release automation.
- Support platform upgrades, performance tuning, and documentation.
What You Bring
- Strong DevOps mindset and experience across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Practical experience with UC4 and Airflow (including Python‑based DAGs).
- Solid skills in Python, shell scripting, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, ArgoCD, and IaC principles.
- Good knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals, and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and clear communication with technical and non‑technical teams.
- Fluency in English; German or Spanish is a plus.
