Advising on and managing the group-s tax position in selected European countries, including Central and Eastern Europe
Proactive management and support of tax audits at federal, regional, and local levels
Monitoring and ensuring proper handling of all tax matters, including tax accounting, tax compliance, tax disputes, and transfer pricing
Advising and supporting local finance teams on tax-related topicsTraining business partners on relevant tax law changes with a significant business impact
Building and maintaining strong networks with business units in the countries under responsibility
Analyzing the tax implications of transactions and providing high-quality tax advice
Ensuring transparent and professional communication with tax authorities
Responsibility for corporate income tax compliance and defense in tax audits
Identification, management, and mitigation of tax risks
Managing and overseeing processes relating to indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and other taxes
Profile
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law, preferably with a focus on taxation
Extensive and in-depth experience in a tax-related role, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or at a Big 4 firm
Strong knowledge of tax laws and fiscal frameworks in the region, including Central and Eastern Europe
Solid understanding of income tax accounting
Strong tax research and presentation skills
Multilingual capability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident handling of ERP systems and tax-related software or comparable systems
Ability to analyze complex matters and present clear decision options
Ability to communicate and influence effectively across functions without direct line authority
