      Responsibilities

      • Advising on and managing the group-s tax position in selected European countries, including Central and Eastern Europe
      • Proactive management and support of tax audits at federal, regional, and local levels
      • Monitoring and ensuring proper handling of all tax matters, including tax accounting, tax compliance, tax disputes, and transfer pricing
      • Advising and supporting local finance teams on tax-related topicsTraining business partners on relevant tax law changes with a significant business impact
      • Building and maintaining strong networks with business units in the countries under responsibility
      • Analyzing the tax implications of transactions and providing high-quality tax advice
      • Ensuring transparent and professional communication with tax authorities
      • Responsibility for corporate income tax compliance and defense in tax audits
      • Identification, management, and mitigation of tax risks
      • Managing and overseeing processes relating to indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and other taxes

      Profile

      • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law, preferably with a focus on taxation
      • Extensive and in-depth experience in a tax-related role, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or at a Big 4 firm
      • Strong knowledge of tax laws and fiscal frameworks in the region, including Central and Eastern Europe 
      • Solid understanding of income tax accounting
      • Strong tax research and presentation skills
      • Multilingual capability
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Confident handling of ERP systems and tax-related software or comparable systems
      • Ability to analyze complex matters and present clear decision options
      • Ability to communicate and influence effectively across functions without direct line authority
