      • Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department, the Assistant Banquet Manager is responsible for leading and directing the Banquet service team daily to ensure the operation of the department delivers consistent excellence and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Banquet Manager reports to the Banquet Service Manager

      • you will be responsible for the following tasks:
      • Direct support and representation of the Banqueting Service Manager in all service-related matters
      • Coordination of daily operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service flow in line with our quality standards in the banqueting and service areas
      • Ensuring events are thoroughly prepared and executed in accordance with the agreed Banquet Event Order (BEO)
      • Supervision and management of event set-up and breakdown
      • Close collaboration and coordination with the Event Sales and Kitchen teams
      • Delivering personalized service and professional advice to our guests
      • Ensuring guest satisfaction by upholding the highest quality standards and handling guest complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner

      we expect from you:

      • Completed training or degree in hospitality, gastronomy, or event management
      • Several years of professional experience in operational F&B, ideally with a focus on banquet/events in upscale hospitality
      • Proven leadership experience with a motivating, clear, and appreciative leadership style
      • Strong communication skills and confident handling of internal and external stakeholders
      • Structured and independent working style, strong organizational skills, and a high sense of responsibility
      • Service-oriented mindset, hands-on mentality, and strong quality awareness
      • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
      • Successful applicants must have the right to work in Switzerland
