• The Assessments and Surcharges team prepares payments and filings to various State agencies in USA based on written premium and incurred losses. The role gives opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects and that is why we are looking for a proactive, flexible person with a “can do” approach

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of premium and loss-based payments, monitor their status during closing, and escalate issues when necessary
• Perform reconciliations of G/L accounts
• Conduct asset valuations
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Carry out other A&S month-end close activities
• Actively contribute to and collaborate on continuous improvement projects
• Understand the ICFR FS (Financial Services) framework, execute controls
• Maintain regular contact with various stakeholders and US state representatives, both verbally and in writing

Candidate’s profile:

• Finance and Accounting, Economy or equivalent academic degree
• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience (G/L and/or Accounts Payable preferred)
• Solid basics of general accounting and knowledge of accounts payable process
• English skills – spoken and written at fluent level (C1)
• Good knowledge of Excel and financial system (SAP as preferred)
• Analytical skills and attention to details
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of Insurance/ Financial Services legislation and regulations

This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer and will require occasionally adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule (9.00-17.00, 11.00-19.00, 14.30-22.30)
